An e-wallet casino lets you deposit and withdraw using a mobile wallet such as GCash, Maya or GrabPay. Since August 2025, you can’t access gaming from inside the e-wallet apps. You start the payment from a PAGCOR-licensed casino’s own Cashier instead, where available. Which wallets work, and for what, depends on the casino.
- E-wallet payments now start in the casino’s Cashier, not inside the GCash or Maya app.
- GCash and Maya are the most widely offered for both deposits and withdrawals. GrabPay is offered less often.
- Your e-wallet must be verified and in the same name as your casino account.
- If your e-wallet isn’t listed, QR Ph lets you pay from most Philippine banks and e-wallets.
How e-wallet casinos work now
In August 2025, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas ordered e-wallets to remove links to online gambling from their apps. GCash and Maya complied, so there’s no longer a "Games" section inside the apps.
What changed for players:
- You can’t top up a casino from inside the e-wallet app. You start the deposit from the casino’s Cashier, then approve it in your e-wallet.
- Some licensed casinos still list e-wallets in their Cashier. These payments usually run through a licensed payment partner.
- Availability can change. A wallet offered today may be removed later, so check the Cashier before you plan around it.

If your preferred e-wallet isn’t in the Cashier, look for QR Ph. It lets you scan and pay from almost any Philippine bank or e-wallet app that supports QR Ph.
How to pay with an e-wallet at a casino
- Log in to a PAGCOR-licensed casino and open the Cashier.
- Choose Deposit → E-wallet and pick GCash, Maya or GrabPay.
- Enter the amount and tap Submit.
- Approve the payment in your e-wallet app or on the payment page that opens.
- Check your casino balance. E-wallet deposits usually show within minutes.
To withdraw, choose Withdraw, link your e-wallet in your own name, and submit the amount. See How to Withdraw Winnings for the full steps.
Pro tip: Fully verify your e-wallet before your first casino withdrawal. Unverified or semi-verified wallets can have lower limits that block larger payouts.
Warning: Casino "agents" who ask you to send GCash or Maya to their personal number are not part of any licensed casino. Pay only through the Cashier, and never share your MPIN or OTP.
Frequently asked questions
What is an e-wallet casino?
An e-wallet casino is an online casino that accepts deposits and withdrawals through mobile wallets such as GCash, Maya or GrabPay. In the Philippines, you start these payments from the casino’s own Cashier, because gaming has been removed from inside the e-wallet apps. Use only PAGCOR-licensed casinos.
Can I still use GCash at online casinos?
You can’t access casinos from inside the GCash app since August 2025, but some PAGCOR-licensed casinos still list GCash in their own Cashier. You start the deposit or withdrawal there and approve it in GCash. Availability can change, so check the Cashier before depositing.
GCash vs Maya: which is better for online casinos?
GCash and Maya both work for deposits and withdrawals at casinos that list them, so the better choice is usually the one you already use and have fully verified. GCash is offered slightly more often. Both require an account in your own name, and both apply their own transaction limits.
Can I withdraw casino winnings to GrabPay?
Sometimes, but GrabPay is often offered for deposits only. Check the casino’s Withdraw tab to see whether GrabPay is listed. If it isn’t, withdraw to GCash, Maya or a bank account in your own name instead, ideally one you’ve already linked and verified.
